Thoughts from the Week: 8/18/23

Each Friday, I like to share some thoughts, learnings, and reflections from my quiet times during the week. I hope they’re encouraging and helpful!

Be blessed this week,

Pastor Hugh

Galatians 5:22-23 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

There is a man who comes into the convenience store where I work.  He always has a smile on his face.  He seems naturally happy in life.  He is a poor man by the world’s standards, but he is rich in the things of the Lord.  He loves to talk about Jesus.  He loves to talk about his blessings.  He loves the richness of the Lord’s grace.  He so abides in Jesus that the joy of the Lord permeates from his life.  All believers can live filled with joy since it is a characteristic of and evidence of the Holy Spirit’s presence in a believer’s life.  As believers let us abide in Jesus, filled with His Spirit and live a joyous life for Him.

Philippians 4:4 – “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.”

*All Scripture from the New American Standard Version Bible.
