Our History
The Sunset Park Baptist Church has been a part of the Sunset Park community since 1942. It was started to meet the spiritual needs of those coming into Wilmington to work at the shipyard during World War II.
We believe that God has placed us here on the corner of 231 Central Boulevard and Jefferson Street for a purpose. We are here to serve Jesus and our community and the greater Wilmington area. Like the large steeple on top of our sanctuary building, we are here to point people toward Jesus. Our commitment is to share the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ.
