Thoughts from the Week: 12/16/22

Each Friday, I like to share some thoughts, learnings, and reflections from my quiet times during the week. I hope they’re encouraging and helpful!

Be blessed this week,

Pastor Hugh

No one will ever understand the totality of the Lord.

“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!” Romans 11:33

Existence today is from Jesus, by Jesus, and for Jesus.

“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.” Romans 11:36

A believer’s life is to be lived in humility.

“Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.” Romans 12:16

If God has loved me, He has done me no wrong, and if I love my neighbor then I will do them no wrong.

“Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law…..Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.’” Romans 13:8, 10

Believers are to seek the fulfillment of the Spirit not their lusts.

“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.” Romans 13:14

The life of one who abides and rests in Jesus belongs to Jesus.

“for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.” Romans 14:8
