Thoughts from the Week: 7/8/22

Each Friday, I like to share some thoughts, learnings, and reflections from my quiet times during the week. I hope they’re encouraging and helpful!

Be blessed this week,

Pastor Hugh

The Lord desires peace with all mankind, but we must comply with His way of achieving it.

“Or let them lay hold of My protection, let them make peace with Me, let them make peace with Me.” Isaiah 27:5

One must be careful to follow God’s plan by fellowshipping with His Spirit.

“’Ah, stubborn children,’ declares the LORD, ‘who carry out a plan, but not Mine, and who make an alliance, but not of My Spirit, that they may add sin to sin.’” Isaiah 30:1

The Lord is a secure comforter to those who know Him.

“Each will be like a hiding place from the wind, a shelter from the storm, like streams of water in a dry place, like the shade of a great rock in a weary land.” Isaiah 32:2

We find daily strength in waiting on the Lord.

“O LORD, be gracious to us; we wait for You. Be our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble.” Isaiah 33:2

The Lord knows a person’s every thought and action.

“I know your sitting down and your going out and coming in,….”Isaiah 37:28

The enduring strength of the Lord is amazing when infused into the life of a believer.

“but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

All of life exists and functions at the hand and will of God.

“I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the LORD, who does all these things.” Isaiah 45:7
