Thoughts from the Week: 1/28/22

Each Friday, I like to share some thoughts, learnings, and reflections from my quiet times during the week. I hope they’re encouraging and helpful!

Be blessed this week,

Pastor Hugh

Our holy sanctification is accomplished by the work of the Holy Spirit.

“….He shall be holy to you, for I, the Lord, who sanctify you, am holy.” Leviticus 21:8

The LORD speaks through whom He chooses.

"According to the commandment of the Lord through Moses they were listed, each one with his task of serving or carrying. Thus they were listed by him, as the Lord commanded Moses.” Numbers 4:49

Caring for others is an awesome burden of love which is accomplished only in the Spirit of Jesus.

“I am not able to carry all this people alone; the burden is too heavy for me.” Numbers 11:14

The Lord calls and qualifies His servants.

”When you bring the Levites before the Lord, the people of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites, and Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord as a wave offering from the people of Israel, that they may do the service of the Lord.” Numbers 8:10-11

The Lord is continually present with His followers.

“So it was always: the cloud covered it by day and the appearance of fire by night.” Numbers 9:16

It is God’s choice not ours.

“And the staff of the man whom I choose shall sprout.  Thus I will make to cease from Me the grumblings of the people of Israel, which they grumble against you.” Numbers 17:5

There is no need to fear opposition for the victory is the LORD’s.

“But the LORD said to Moses, ‘Do not fear him, for I have given him into your hand, and all his people, and his land.  And you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.’” Numbers 21:34
