Thoughts from the Week: 10/8/21

Each Friday, I like to share some thoughts, learnings, and reflections from my quiet times during the week. I hope they’re encouraging and helpful!

Be blessed this week,

Pastor Hugh

The power of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God and prayers of faith is a sanctifying power.

"since it is sanctified by the word of God and by prayer.." - 1 Timothy 4:5 (CSB)

Memory of and meditating on the words and teachings of Jesus nourishes a born-again believer’s soul.

"If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of the faith and the good teaching that you have followed." - 1 Timothy 4:6 (CSB)

Idleness marries curiosity and breeds shameless knowledge of others.

"At the same time, they also learn to be idle, going from house to house; they are not only idle, but are also gossips and busybodies, saying things they shouldn’t say." - 1 Timothy 5:13 (CSB)

Whether good or bad, one’s actions are not hidden.

"Likewise, good works are obvious, and those that are not obvious cannot remain hidden.." - 1 Timothy 5:25 (CSB)

Revival is a time to refresh one’s Spiritual gift and to rekindle one’s spirit.

“Therefore, I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is in you through the laying on of my hands.” - 2 Timothy 1:6 (CSB)
