All For Jesus

Dear Beloved in Jesus,

It is hard to believe that the first half of 2024 has already passed us by.  As I write this article I am looking forward to the months of July and August.  Already our calendars are filling up as the summer sets in upon us.  Whether it is our individual calendar, work, family, school, or church, our time seems to be eaten up by the expectations of others.

As believers in Jesus the Christ and therefore a part of the Body of Christ we must stay focused on Jesus and remember that this is all about Him and for Him.  He is to be glorified in all we do.  If we lose this focus, we will tire ourselves out and feel overburdened.  There will truly be events in our life when in reality there should be life in the events.  Let me explain.  If all we do during this time is focused on ourselves and looked at from our point of view, then it will become a burden bearing time in which we will become ‘weary in well doing’[Galatians 6:9].  But if we focus on Jesus and His Kingdom, then it will become a time of joy and fellowship as we serve the Lord together, thus we will ‘run and not be weary’[Isaiah 40:31].  Living in the Spirit, seeing the Spirit’s work and being moved to involve ourselves with Him makes the difference.

Let us rest in the Spirit so that our work will be with the Spirit and in the Spirit of Christ.  For all the Christian life is by and in the Spirit and none is outside of the Spirit of Christ [Colossians 1:29].

For Jesus’ Kingdom,

Brother Hugh Folds
