Thoughts from the Week: 5/13/22

Each Friday, I like to share some thoughts, learnings, and reflections from my quiet times during the week. I hope they’re encouraging and helpful!

Be blessed this week,

Pastor Hugh

Jesus’ faithful lovingkindness fills His followers with joy and gladness.

“For you, O Lord, have made me glad by Your work; at the works of Your hands I sing for joy.” Psalm 92:4

Jesus’ followers are daily in awe of His magnificence and wisdom.

“How great are Your works, O Lord!  Your thoughts are very deep!” Psalm 92:5

Yahweh, who is shrouded in mystery, is enthroned on righteous justice.

“Clouds and thick darkness are all around Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.” Psalm 97:2

Jesus is to be worshiped in reverent holiness.

“Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth!” Psalm 96:9

Worship of Jesus is to be filled with gratitude and praise.

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise!  Give thanks to Him; bless His name!.” Psalm 100:4

As God, Jesus rules the life of every individual.

“Know that the Lord, He is God!  It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture..” Psalm 100:3

Jesus’ glory is magnified when He is praised publicly.

“Praise the Lord!  I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation.” Psalm 111:1
