Thoughts from the Week: 11/12/21

Each Friday, I like to share some thoughts, learnings, and reflections from my quiet times during the week. I hope they’re encouraging and helpful!

Be blessed this week,

Pastor Hugh

Remembering God’s faithfulness gives strength for today.

“The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.” Habakkuk 3:19

Obedience to Jesus is easier when we know Him in all His faithfulness.

“Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,” 1 John 2:4

There is joy in experiencing the wonderous works of God.

"He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.” Psalm 66:6

Born-again believers rejoice in their sufferings when truly suffering for Jesus.

"Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:” Colossians 1:24

God’s faithfulness allows one to know and understand some of His thoughts and His ways.

“but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:24

Trusting in Jesus is trusting in His faithfulness.

“I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalm 91:2

The Body of Christ unites together to share their joy in Jesus.

“For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.” Philippians 2:18
