Thoughts from the Week: 11/11/22

Each Friday, I like to share some thoughts, learnings, and reflections from my quiet times during the week. I hope they’re encouraging and helpful!

Be blessed this week,

Pastor Hugh

The power and proof of the Holy Spirit magnifies the name of Jesus.

“This became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who lived in Ephesus; and fear fell upon them all and the name of the Lord Jesus was being magnified.” Acts 19:17

A heart of repentance and faith are basic to the Christian life.

“how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house to house, solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks of repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. .” Acts 20:20-21

Peace with God is a clear conscience before God.

“Paul, looking intently at the Council, said, ‘Brethren, I have lived my life with a perfectly good conscience before God up to this day’.” Acts 23:1

When life spins out of control, Jesus gives assured hope in His presence and will.

“But on the night immediately following, the Lord stood at his side and said, ‘Take courage; for as you have solemnly witnessed to My cause at Jerusalem, so you must witness at Rome also’.” Acts 23:11

Spiritual gifts are for the strengthening of the Body of Christ.

“For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established;” Romans 1:11

The corporate sharing of faith encourages all believers.

“that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.” Romans 1:12

Every person has an internal and external revealed consciousness of God.

“because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.” Romans 1:19-20
