Thoughts from the Week: 5/06/22

Each Friday, I like to share some thoughts, learnings, and reflections from my quiet times during the week. I hope they’re encouraging and helpful!

Be blessed this week,

Pastor Hugh

It is a glorious thing to hear the words of the LORD, when He speaks in all His majesty.

“The voice of the Lord is powerful, the voice of the Lord is majestic.” Psalm 29:4

Abiding in Jesus is to live surrounded in His keeping.

“You are my hiding place; You keep me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:7

The faithful lovingkindness of Jesus is limitless.

“Your mercy, Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.” Psalm 36:5

The light of the Spirit of Jesus and the truth of the Word of Jesus will always lead people to Himself.

“O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.” Psalm 43:3

The light and truth of Jesus will adjust one’s attitude and lift their spirit in joy and assurance.

“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” Psalm 43:5

Each morning we find help for the day in Jesus’ faithfulness.

“God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.” Psalm 46:5

Jesus desires my broken pride.

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.” Psalm 51:17
